Has everyone got the latest email from Bare?

They want us to apply for a credit card and then give them our confidential login details:eek:
it's crazy - i hope no-one on here is silly enough to do it.

do you remember when they sent all our details to other mystery shopping companies - very dodgy!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I thought it was crazy too. Not going to do it. Managed to pick up a few jobs and have done a few begging ones (and negotiated extra mileage) but it's still much much quieter here.

  • Let me recommend another MS company to you all. Corporate Research International. I have done a few jobs for them already but they are based in the US and pay via paypal. They have some really good fee paying jobs at the moment on their website.

It involves visiting assisted living accommodation for the elderley. It's a bit like a show home visit but you go through all the rigmaroll about the care they provide and their fees. The downside is you have to be over 43 years of age and pretend you have an elderley parent requiring care.

As I mentioned, the fees are great. They equate to around £25-£60 per visit depending on how urgent it is. I have already done the homes in my area so am now willing to share this info with you all. There are plenty more around the rest of the country.
  • Hiya,

I recently did a job where I had to purchase shoes and now need to send them back to the ms company. They need the receipt for postage and have suggested that I send that with the shoes.

Does that matter for tax purposes as I won't have any proof of postage if I send them with the shoes as I won't have chance to take a copy?

Thanks for the heads up about them sending out your details!! I thought it was odd they wanted your login info - could just change the password when you've given it to them :p

  • Woot, just got accepted for ESA. There's so many assignments in one town near me - it's a bit of a trek but I can't believe how many are clustered so close. Hopefully I'll have a few come closer my way...

    How have people found ESA?

ESA...hmmm...wonder if they have many near me. I'm a bit short of jobs at the minute. SOMEONE (THEIF) has taken all the jobs near me that popped up while I was out MSing earlier today! RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!

I'd have done the same though! :rotfl:

I've just done a MS for Abai...how do I fill in info for them. I tried clicking on the my visits link in the hope that would show it too me and I might get somewhere. But nothing happens...it doesn't even change pages. All the orange links at the top just disappear instead.

    Anyone?

    Mixed!

The jobs seem to sit as "open" for ages. Sometime I'll apply for say 3 in one area which makes the trip worthwhile, but then when they get allocated, I'll only be given 1/3, so the trip isn't worthwhile anymore, and I feel pants for saying no I can't do it anymore :o

The jobs are easy to do and the reports are easy to fill in though.
Here I go again on my own....

Usually you will only be immbursed for what you can prove you spent at this establishment.

Taking photo or scanning the receipt - it depends on the mystery shopping company. All accept scanned images but not all accept photographs. You will need to read your instructions/online FAQs or contact them to find out.

Check the timing of this... £25 sounds like a late evening club visit to me, not a few drinks after work. But I may be wrong.

Thanks, it says anytime from 5pm to 10pm and must go with a friend, buy two drinks and stay for an hour. Looking at it again it looks like I will get the full £25 back:

You will be reimbursed for the amount stated on the website for this assignment. This will reimburse towards both your drinks and entry fee.
Entry is free if you go early.
    ...bottoms up! :D
    Saving for a deposit: £11,000 / £50,000 (22%) :)
