For the record, I took one of the small fee pub jobs in Glasgow. A city centre one. I've been a probationer on RE for the best part of 2 months. So it's less about the fee, but more about building up my profile so I can get the better stuff. All I ever see is pharmacies, airports and these pub jobs. There is the odd shop - but I'm plus size, so can't do those.
There are no better jobs. Don't bother. They are the worst MS company ever. Sign up to other better ones. GfK is a good one if you're not already with them.

So it seems you need to be between 23 and 50 to see them then. Or maybe there's a point weighing too. Curiouser and curiouser.

I wish you could see the ones you have missed out on, like GR. That would be very interesting.

Myterious Girl. Thanks! If only they were recruiting in this area, and I could afford to be picky.

I was one of the people who suggested not accepting the RE jobs with the low fee. I can see a lot of them have been accepted however there are still more than I would expect waiting to be picked up.

I do understand that not every shopper comes on here, and some people will be desperate for cash/going to that pub anyway/need their first job and therefore will select them.

My hope is that there are a lot of these that are selected by newbies, who mess the reports up, or by people who decide on the day they can't be bothered etc, rather than by the usual reliable shoppers.

When we start getting calls/emails asking us to do urgent visits, we can then refuse until a higher fee is paid.

On another point, I do think RE are a bit cheeky using an 0871 (premium rate) telephone number for their call recording. Is should be either free or just a normal landline number.
I agree and hope RE will now get what they pay for.

The point I was trying to make yesterday is that the usuallly reliable shoppers shouldn't start cancelling jobs as well due to the low fees or it will send the wrong message to RE. It is better if we don't pick up the jobs at all and then wait until they are either not taken or cancelled by a new unreliable shopper and then we can try and negotiate higher fees.

The premium rate numbers are the reason why I won't do the phonecalls. As if the fees weren't low enough already RE then get a cut of the cost of these calls. For the travel agent ones I imagine it is quite easy to spend 20 minutes or more on the call. Unfortunately for the hotel stays I do the calls must be recorded as well. I once put the cost of the call in with my expenses and RE had the cheek to remove it before paying me:mad:

Invoice them for the call cost. Knock up an invoice in Word/Excel/Whatever and print and post to them, with a note in bold at the top - "PAYMENT REQUIRED BY XX/XX/XX" (xx/xx/xx = 14 days from invoicing tjhem).

It'll be good to hear reaction is nothing else, and might send the message home to them.

Now personally, if it were me, and I had nothing to lose, I'd take it all the way if they didn't pay me.

    Hi,

    Quick question:

Anyone know of a ready-made list of companies offering auditing work?

The only one I know of is 'the-company-that-must-not-be-named'.

Thanks in advance for any help :D
