I queried this and if you are over 50 you don't qualify. They must think you have wallies or lost your taste buds at that age,

So it seems you need to be between 23 and 50 to see them then. Or maybe there's a point weighing too. Curiouser and curiouser.

got to be at least some point weighting, cos I'm 33.
• Morning all. Don't think it can be the point weighting as I have less than 50 points but saw the restaurants last night!

Not disagreeing with your sentiments, however when you say "we" who do you mean?

RE claim a list of 450,000shoppers. Allowing for some exaggeration to attract custom, they have a lot of shoppers on their books. How many of them would you think read this forum?

If everyone who reads this forum stopped accepting RE jobs or boycotting jobs requiring photos, would RE even notice do you think?

As I say, I don't disagree with the sentiments that you express. However, the number of people here is a minute fraction of the shoppers on the companies books.

Hi scotsbob glad to see your out of prison.:rotfl:I as usual can beat you. I once tried to do a pharmacy photo. As the street has large vans as someone was moving house I had to stand in the middle of a main road and almost got knocked down. Would RE have sent me a bunch of flowers do you reckon.

BTW for Glaswegians be careful taking photos in the shopping malls. Apparently those Al-Quaeda nutters who tried to bomb Glasgow aiport when The police checked their camera they found photos of Buchanan Galleries and the St Enoch centre shopping mall so they have banned photos being taken in all Glasgow shopping malls.

I'm 23 and can't see them so you may be right. Although I'm hoping not lol.

I'm 22 and can't see them either so maybe it is an age issue. I might sign up my boyfriend who is 25!

Also, just deciding to give some of my opinions on MSing at the moment...

Reduced fees on RE - Not impressed at all, but if people are taking them at that fee then why would RE bother to offer a higher fee?! I'm in agreement that we should all refuse to do them but they're still disappearing so . It would be interesting to know whether the client are still paying RE the same and they are just passing on less to us or whether its the client that's lowered the fee. Hmmm

I'm also in agreement about not liking taking pics of shops, I feel so suspicious! I'm always afraid I'll get questioned or something. Just paranoia I guess though. I just dont understand why a reciept and the names of the left and right shop aren't enough to prove you've been there??

I had two shops yesterday, an entertainment store for RE and a £ shop for ESA. I had to laugh at the difference, one had almost the double the fee of the other but required a third of the time to write the report!! I hope my ESA one is ok though, its the first job I've done for them and I've applied for 5 more on the travel agent wave.

Ive also got two glasses shops for Tern tomorrow, bit nervous as the purchase requirement is such a high amount so if I mess it up it will be very bad news! Anyone got any tips for these? I'm concerned because there are still quite a few available, im thinking everyone knows something about these that I dont?!

Sorry for the essay, been mulling over my mystery shopping thoughts all week but haven't really had time to post.

The visits are easy peasy. They reimburse you for the cost of the glasses within 48 hours. The fee though takes longer so go for as many as you can as the fee is good. (Gyp and RE take note) If you need any more help PM me as I have done about 25 optical visits.

• I was one of the people who suggested not accepting the RE jobs with the low fee. I can see a lot of them have been accepted however there are still more than I would expect waiting to be picked up.

I do understand that not every shopper comes on here, and some people will be desperate for cash/going to that pub anyway/need their first job and therefore will select them.

My hope is that there are a lot of these that are selected by newbies, who mess the reports up, or by people who decide on the day they can't be bothered etc, rather than by the usual reliable shoppers.

When we start getting calls/emails asking us to do urgent visits, we can then refuse until a higher fee is paid.

On another point, I do think RE are a bit cheeky using an 0871 (premium rate) telephone number for their call recording. Is should be either free or just a normal landline number.
Happy New Year

Yea I know what you mean. I was referring to someone (sorry can't remember who) who posted yesterday or the day before urging people not to accept the jobs. Obviously, its not going to happen, I should have explained a bit more what I meant by  < that lol!

It was me the rebel.

No they would have asked you to buy your own flowers from the hospital florist (no fee or reimbursement) and then asked you 206 questions about the florist and the flowers, and then asked for a photo of said flowers, and then deducted 10 points because you bought red roses instead of red daffodils. :rotfl:

The politically correct expression is not holiday but respite.

She got very stressed to learn that burger bars use CCTV.

Something to do with a thing called "the burroo" and "signing on" and unofficial earnings.
Too complicated for me to understand but it stressed her so much that she needs this respite.

Oh thats a shame, I sure hope she wont abandon you like the last 40!!

Good to see you back! Can anyone tell me if Gyp send through a statement?
:money: giving me & my darling boys a better cheaper life :o:A
