I've done hotel jobs where you didn't get an evening meal or drinks included. It was just the room and breakfast for one the next day. It was a budget chain of hotels but some do have a bar and serve food.
I was quiet last week, but busy this week with auditing work. Another person is on holiday so I'm doing all their stuff as well as my own
Here I go again on my own....0 -

LOL thats made me smile :beer:0 -
I see no reason why you can claim them as a loss. All reasonable expenses that you'd not normally incur, Hotel costs (try and get Bed breakfast and evening meal). taxis to/from airport (car hire questionable, guess it depends on the destination!)
From the rest of your reply I'm hoping you meant 'can't' ? If so, cheers - that's the answer I'd hoped for! :rotfl: The taxi bit is covered by my expenses from Bare so I dont need to worry about that. I will be away a bit longer that the two night minimum but I'm only going to claim for the first two nights as I'm sure HMRC will think I'm taking the p if I claim for the lot!0 -

Nah, GAP still have 2 fuel shops. The other one was full reimbursement for what they ask you to buy, bar the shop spend iirc.
Sorry, should have said they only have 2 now and used to have 3 - the one that went to Aba-i. Don't we wish they could nab some more clients, eh?
I checked back to my s/sheet from last year and I did two black and red ones in July 08 and they paid the full reimbursement amount then.0 -

I agree - claim everything that you pay out, that you wouldn't have done if you were just having a day at home, so like ukm says, any meals whilst you're away etc., you should make a cracking loss to offset!!0 -
Just got turned down for a job as Im too old for it! Huh - what a cheek! Still, who cares, I have several booked until 28th and then sadly I will have to leave you all to go lie on the beach for a fortnight in Egypt - its a hard life! OMG I cant wait!!!!!I'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box - :rolleyes:0

Yes - especially as I've treated myself to a fancy hotel :rotfl: (at a very good deal of course, in true MSE style!).0
