New Boiler Timer Advice Please - See Pics

Hi.
After a power cut, when power is restored, my boiler goes haywire! It surges on and off for a second or so, repeatedly, and the programmer flickers very quickly through its settings while this happens.
If I then turn the power off for a few minutes, all is well again, except that I have to re-time the programmer.
My worry is that this may happen when I am out or on holiday, and that the constant surging will cause the boiler to break down.
Can this be solved by having a battery back-up for the programmer? Or is the boiler at fault?0 -
Welcome to the forums wossip. It's better to start a new thread of your own rather than resurrecting one that is over a year old. Make and model of your programmer would help. Have you already replaced the battery? No free lunch, and no free laptop
