Just wanted to add my name as a permanent member of the August club 10.45 today, the OR's assistant rang me at 5.30 and went through a few bits n bobs, bank account safe and said OR will be in touch if they want an interview?!

Declared bankrupt of 5th august and had my telephone interview today with the OR - not feeling relief yet still very very scared and ashamed!! im sure it will all get better as time goes on and i find out what happens next with house, money etc!!

Can anyone tell me what a BI is? Regarding my house? i can sell my interest in the house for a £1? is this correct?

Hi and welcome, congrats on your BR, you will start to feel better soon, its not always instant relief but it will come with time.

BI is Beneficial Interest and concerns your share of your property and the Official receivers interest in it. You can buy the BI back from the official receiver for £1 plus costs if your house is in negative equity which means that your house cannot be sold by the OR at a later date should there be any equity.

Hi my court date is now the 20th thursday had to change were a bit short on the fees but all sorted now, will let you know how it goes!
