Mars Bar Recipes?

Hello... We have acquired 48 mars bars (well its more like 45 now) and I've been trying to find some recipes to use them up.

Everything I can seem to find is just a variation on rice krispie cakes, but I remember when I was a kid we made a fridge cake with mars bars and cherries and syrup, with no krispies. I don't have the recipe though. There's a nice looking mousse on bbcgoodfood.com, but I'd like some other ideas too.

Anyone got any tried and tested mars bar recipes they wouldn't mind sharing please? Any suggestions welcome, but no rice krispies! I don't really know the etiquette round here this being my first post on the board, but thank you in advance.

    :)

Obviously I've not tried this myself as it's too big .... and I'd be the size of a planet as I'd eat the lot within a day.

I use them for Rocky Road, diced as the choc chips in Millies Cookies, melted as an ice cream topping, and for a fridge cake. Will dig out some recipes for you and pop back later. Jackie

OMG!!!!! How fabulous does that look! My mouth is watering. Might have to up my total on the GC to include the ingredients for this.

OP, why not share them with me and I'll make one too!

Put 3 in a blender with a bottle of cheap vodka.

Whizz it up, funnel back into the bottle and chill it cold.

Go to the shops to buy asprins, then enjoy.:D

  • When the children were young and we had visitors, I used to make a chocolate fondue with Mars Bars - cut up two or three of them, add a tablespoon or so of water and melt over a low flame or (retro chic) fondue bowl. The resulting fudgy sauce is delicious with cubes of stalish sponge cake, marshmallows, or chopped fruit dipped in. I earned many, many Brownie points from my godchildren when I produced this.

Make pancake mixture. Slice Mars bar thinly onto a plate. Pour some pancake mixture into hot frying pan barely covering the base, flip the pancake when first side is done; place about half the Mars bar slices on the cooked upper side of the pancake, and allow them to start melting while the other side cooks. Turn onto hot plate and roll up, then devour. Yum!
