Buy a good fan oven (but avoid anything made by 'Beko' or 'Leisurewoeld' ,same company), their products are rubbish, and when you need a part it can take 3 months to arrive (found this out after cooker door hinge broke after just 13 months)
Use low energy lightbulbs where poss., and if you have spotlights fitted that take 'gu10' bulbs, go on feebay and bu some 78-led LED bulbs (55w output, 5w consumption).Never Knowingly Understood.

Me and the wife use 6.2 kwh per day.
Elec Shower
Elec Oven
Microwave,
Kettle ,37" TV plus energy saving bulbs etc.
This usage isnt too bad for 2 of us and is quite manageable.0 -
Well in the 24 hrs from 9am yesterday to 8.15am today (as close as I could get I had to go to work) I used 4kwh. It's obvious my oven eats electricity!0
