Happy new diary Shaun - here's a sheep joke for you.
two Aussie farmers at sheep-shearing time - one says to the other "Are you shearing that sheep mate?" The other says "Na, get yer own!"
Well, I thought it was funny.........One life - your life - live it!0 -
morning all
well its saturday and for 3 days(B.H HERE) i can pretend all is well with the world
pit pony's have gone home for a days sleep and oh dully deposited in work to infect as much of the population as possible..
to day will be a nsd so thats 5 for this week, tomorrow we will need bread and milk so that bwuggers what would have been my 1st 6 nsd week:rolleyes:
start again on monday,,,
hypnos how long can (£20) €25 last challenge ...11 days,,,€25 intact,, have to ck last week receipts to see if i brought gum ,when i went to get petrol??
since doing the various plans, meal planning, shoping spreadsheet, nsd, the£20 challenge is really easy,
a) cus i dont work so im not at the shops every day
b) oh is taking the car to learn to drive:eek:
c) im to bwoody lazy to walk 1/2 mile to the shops
i love the irish driving system,,,for years you applied for a learner licence ,took a few lessons, then buy a car, go drive for a few year then put in for your test ,,,their were folks out their who have been driving on provisional licences for 15/20 yrs
now under the new system,,,1st part is theory 80 questions think you need 76 correct answers to pass,,,
then you go take a few lessons,,,,you cant take your test for 6months,,,in the meantime its as in the uk you go out with a full licence holder,,,,
but they haven't changed the exam!!! which looks at the fact the you are in control of the car and drive with total confidence...on 2 to 3 hrs driving practice a week
another cash cow for the government i think!!!!
but the best is the insurance companies,,,who requested this change in the system so they could bring down the costs.....a lot of kids here 18 to 25 would be paying 3000 to 5000 pa for insurance at least 3 times the value of their car,,,,
my oh used to cost me €500 as a named leaner (i pay €340 f/c 50%nc)
so this year at renewal i was thinking uk prices she would cost me €100 as i have to be with her,,,,no!!!,,,,,,€450:eek: why ??
it in case the learner driver goes out by them self because your not available,,,so you know all though its now illegal for her to drive on her own ,,,we do cover her fully with this policyi give up

Sounds just the way my family all learned to drive Shaun..but i am all passed and have the certificate to prove it.
Don't know about the rest of them though .Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Alas....the sheepies have gone to a better place filled with gravy and mint sauce :D LOL Not a holiday they would recommend i'd imagine Shaun!!??
I promise not to share any more horror stories  What a strange system for driving?? :rolleyes:DFW Nerd #11520
