Evening everyone,I noticed on here a while back that tesco,s in isle of wight were limiting coupons to £2 per shop. Iam going on holiday here next week and was wondering if there store policy had changed or were they still being tight.Would like to make my holiday that little bit cheaper and do i nice moc shop, leaving that bit extra money for beer and ice-creams.

Found this from the previous thread. HTH

I telephoned Tesco's Customer Service on 0800 505555 because i was refused the £5 Lidl voucher... They telephoned the store while I was still on the telephone and confirmed that they should and do now accept this coupon and that i should collect my £5 from the CS desk.
Also I wrote an email to Terry Leahy about the quote above and got this reply:-

    Dear Mrs .......

Thank you for your email addressed to Sir Terry Leahy, our Chief Executive, to which I have been asked to reply.

I appreciate you taking the time to contact us regarding our branded coupon acceptance policy, and I am sorry for any confusion caused by conflicting information you have received.

Our policy on these coupons is very clear, in that it allows customers to use a branded coupon without buying the product. The conditions for this are that the coupon must be in date, and we must stock the product.

As you are aware, if a customer has two of the same branded coupon, then they must buy one of the relevant items – this means for each different branded coupon we are giving the customer one chance to use the coupon without buying the product. This does only apply to branded coupons, and any Tesco coupon can only be redeemed by purchasing the relevant product.

Please also be advised that there is no limit to the amount of branded coupons a customer can redeem in one transaction. As long as all of the above conditions are met, and the coupons each have unique serial numbers, our stores should not be refusing to accept them.

With that in mind, I am very sorry that someone has advised you that our Ryde Isle of Wight store are limiting customers to only £2.00 worth of coupons per day. This is not the case, and you can continue to present any valid coupons you might have up to the value of your shopping.

Should you encounter any problems with redeeming your vouchers in future, please do not hesitate to ask for Dan Jones, our Ryde Store Manager, who would be happy to help.

Thank you for contacting us. I do hope that the information above has helped to clarify our policy, and that we can look forward to your continued custom in the future.

    Kind Regards

    Paul Milligan
    Customer Service Executive

If a few peeps agree then I'll add it no probs. I don't think it should though, if his inbox is stuffed with coupon queries it just raises the profile which worries me, if someone asked for the address then by all means we'll tell them but I think it's a mistake to advertise. What does everyone else think?
