this link goes down for an hour or two every Monday when they update the weekly competition...but apart from that, it has been running continuously for quite some time now.

Yes you can, the policy says "If Tesco stocks the product" not if your store stocks the product :D

Every store I use say that they have to stock it as they can't get money back on something that they don't.

They can prove you got them if you use any, as they are personalised.

But I think I would email back and say you were planning to make use of the 'free trial' as advertised, and buy the paper with your vouchers each day. You understood that the cost of this might be £1 but apart from that it was completely free to try.

Say please let you know if you have misundertood the offer. The subscription - whilst an add-on to the free trial - seems to be a different thing with no obligation to take it up? It's unfortunate you have had to cancel but have no option, and didn't realise this would mean you couldn't buy the paper using your free trial vouchers either. Maybe add that you have used 3 or 4 of them already in good faith...

(Sounds like they are fed up with us all doing this and are clamping down!).
I think maybe the next lot has been just despatched (the after trial pay for ones), see if anything comes in the post in the next few days.

Thank you so much for all your very helpful messages its really great to have so many friendly people on here to help. Luv ya all :D

I think I will email them back and go along the lines of all the suggestions and see what response i get. I havent actually used many of the vouchers as some i wasnt able to as they came late and some were expired already and i gave 7 days worth away to another helpful mser for next week as I am going on holiday so I actually still have most of them.

So hopefully its like you say princess coupon the £89 they are talking about is for more vouchers on the way for (the after trial pay ones) which i will of course send back recorded delivery.

    will keep you posted

    thanks again
