:owhen I use MOC, & it was very very busy. I hve always kept a low profile by only using about 25% MOC per shop, at the most, [twice a week] On this 1st occasion I decided not to persue it. Just felt a tad annoyed. CS gave the cash for the non scannig DM.

I'm afraid the name for a young trout is a 'Fingerling' so probably best to say you've been trouted cos the alternative is :eek::eek::eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(I think the naughty filter would probably delete it anyway )

Coupon-mad wrote: »Hi Dave,
Welcome to the thread, hopefully you will find lots more coupons with us than those awful magazine mocs.
Mrs Unhappy Team Leader was absolutely right!!
Please, for the sake of the coupon policy in your local - stop using those magazine mocs!!
I think it says clearly on the first post by PC, right beside these links, that you should ONLY use ONE if buying the magazine. Not several, and not more than once even over a whole month or two. For example, I used 2 single ones and never reprinted them, I know others have ignored them as well. Using more than one is asking for trouble.
Are you aware of the blocking of the OK magazine mocs by Tesco? Why do you think they did that, for a very high-selling title? It was because they were no longer being paid for the coupons because too many were being presented. How soon do you think the same is going to happen with these obscure magazine mocs? Dare I even ask, have you checked your Extra even stocks the titles - let alone assuming they actually will sell enough per month to cover your mocs use?
Please reconsider. There are plenty more coupons to collect, ones that will not be returned unpaid as these ones WILL. Don't be blinded by the fact these are higher-value coupons. You are causing a future huge problem in your store and before you know it you will be posting to bemoan that your Store has decided no internet mocs...
Sorry to rant.[/QUOte
I too fear that these could spell the end of the generous coupon policy- especially at my fab store. Today as I parked my car and walked around it folding in the mirrors and pushing the ariel down (yes it very old) I
overheard some conversation. There was a car with a middle aged lady driver, she handed the 3 teenage passengers some coupons each.
The conversation went along the lines of 'it'll be ok if we go to a different till'
I wasn't following them but I did walk into the store behind them. I always walk along the front of the checkouts to see whos serving. By the time I had got to the other end, they all appeared on my right from an isle. They each had a computer game. They all went to the same queue. It wasn't hard to see that they each had a pile of the magazine mocs.
If i was a betting woman I'd give this store a month. I know other posters on here go there too.
As if that wasn't bad enough, a male sa said today that he only prints the magazine coupons as the others 'aren't worth the ink'
I sincerley hope they get blocked at the tills before they expire- they are such a threat to the policy as a whole.

Jusy returned from Meir Park tesco- they have a huge sign up at the entrance.

how come the managers have not just put a stop on the till as they did the OK mag ones.
Also the idea not CC no coupons is spot on as they can identify the abusers and ban, this means no tempary cards either and CC has to have a verified address.

Yes.
I explained to the manager that friends give me coupons for diff products they find on the internet, and asked if i could use them all to buy my dogfood. Although the coupons were for certain products he let me purchase the food that I always buy for my dog.

Blocking of coupons is done centrally, not by Managers instore. But I don't know why it takes the central team so long to act sometimes to make that change to the tills.
The same thing happened when people were abusing the Daily Mail Book tokens. Managers & Supervisors in many stores were saying 'no' to them if asked (and the token t&cs and the relevant website showed they were only for retailers which sold National Book tokens). This was well communicated by regular posters and known to all who read MSE coupon threads.
But there were still posters who took a 'head in the sand' attitude and contuinued to hammer them until T finally blocked them (months later). And no doubt there are still idiots reading this right now who are using the magazine ones in spite of there not being a cat in hell's chance of T being able to redeem any more of these after recent abuse.
If anyone has any of these in their coupon wallet get them binned now, please. We don't need any more reports of stores having to stop accepting coupons. Each time, no doubt, such abuse is being reported to HO - and several irate Store Manager reports on those lines could soon end the whole flippin' policy!
P.S. Can't believe it's Clowne store again BTW. Having already had their fingers burnt in the past with coupons you would have thought they wouldn't have been such a pushover for scammers.:mad:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
