our local t's has now stopped taking coupons they have been taking em for a while but think everyone must have just found out as for the past week it has been full evryday of people using the magazine coupons, i know of a few people who have spent the day there just going back in and out spending the £20 coupons everytime, the staff have been encouraging it by letting people split there shopping into seperate transactions and using coupons everytime, the shelves where empty of beer and spirits when i went the other night and the supervisors all looked very pale i'm sure they cant be getting the money back for all these coupons there where carrier bags full of em behind every till, one person i know has used over a thousand pounds worth in the last week .
:eek::eek::eek::eek: why on earth didn't the store stop this abuse by doing as my T did and taking 5 coupons, no return visit in one day using coupons and no mag coupons taken unless you buy the mag - or were the staff who encouraged it letting their relatives and friends through using these coupons - I can't see any other reason for allowing it unless there was some sort of collusion:confused:
It would have been fairer to genuine couponners:confused:to bring in the 5 coupons/rules

I am horrified by what you are saying pantherman.

The people who are doing this should all be banned from Tesco.

Their greed and selfishness could ruin everything for all the rest of us.

that is why they stopped taking coupons in a lot of stores in Notts,Leics, Derbys and the ones that do only take a small number of coupons with strict usage rules

    Hi Guys
I think, IMHO, we should remove "Various magazine coupons" from the top page. I think it's justified because they are w i d e open to abuse. It's still got two months to run. Those peeps who use the coupons because they buy the mag will still know of it's existence and so won't miss out.
Sometimes I think peeps on the thread don't make suggestions such as this because they don't want to be acused of acting like the "Thread Police", but if lots of us think so, we should say so! If several people agree, please will someone write it in blue?!

I totally agree with you - they should be removed.

  • Cor blimey - has the world gone mad? (Sorry Mad). I have been really busy for a few days and have not had much time to read/post but on catching up today - and crikey the number and content of the posts is unbelievable - lets hope that things settle down and get back to normal ASAP. This has been a fantastic thread since things went a bit awry before - Princess Coupon does a fantastic job of looking after it as did Honey - I hope peeps don't jepoardise it. We would all lose out without it.

Re the fake ebay coupons - whoever is selling these should be stopped. I personally intend to report the coupons - maybe if we all did this and report any other fake mocs that peeps spot we might rid the decent moccers of this blight.
We should all be sticking together to try to maintain Tesco policy - as somebody else said (sorry I can't remember who) we want moc usage for the long term rather than the short. So many will lose out if we lose this privelege - lets do our best to stamp out abuse.

Sorry - here endeth the lesson!!! I was so shocked by what has been posted.
