the cow and gate MOCs for a free bottle and the 50p off when you buy 2 sauces have barcodes starting with 99. Does this mean that the SA has to input the price manually and as such do you need to buy the items to use the MOCs?

Printed ones are usually accepted in most places as long as you buy the product

99 means it is a NSS coupon scannable in the UK and whether it scans or not is down to your printer quality, nothing to do with starting with 99.

Edit: NSS = Non Store Specific
