It's so awful that the staff treat some peeps like the above..I was called over to CS as I entered( it's right by the entrance, and there was no-one in the queue)The SA asked me if I had any receipts from recent shops on me.I looked curious but she re-assured me she just wanted to show her colleague something...not quite sure what she intended, but I gave her my latest receipt....'now just look at that , I told you so, isn't it fantastic' she said ,she turned to me and said she had been telling her colleague what a brilliant shopper I was and how much money I saved...she said she was sooo impressed that I used so many coupons and paid so little for my shopping. the coupon I had given her was for a total for £29 and I had paid under £2....' way to go' she said' more power to your elbow'...'wish I could have a receipt like that for my own shopping'......nice to get praise for non abusive couponeering...makes me want to try harder!!!0

Next time you go in fill out a complaint form with her number (at the bottom of the receipt). that is disgusting thing for her to say. Im so sorry but that has got me so very very angry.:mad::mad:
You are right of course, unfortunately this attitude seems so common, there are a couple of supermarkets locally that do seem clued up on the coupon policy, but even there I sometimes encounter problems. These bats seem so indignant about the policy, feeling that somehow morally it is not right. I have a regular bat in a different store who again has been put right about the coupon policy, but every time needs to let me know that she disagrees with it.

Car all loaded , table for breakfast was set last night...drinks cooling in the fridge and beef sliced ready for sarnies...just got to get myself up and shower and call at T's for reading material and a few treats and I'm off for a long day carp fishing....should be wetting a line by 12 and home at around 11pm tonight. It's usually a nice run to the other side of Shrewsbury, but it is a rural run and if we get stuck behind a tractor it does mean less time to catch....I only had 2 last Thurs and hubby had 7...got to make sure I do better this week...I'm trying my secret ingredient....I use PVA bags with smelly pellets in them( pineapple/strawberry flavoured) but I 'm inserting tiny pieces of pepperami...hubby is sticking with Vitalin( dog food) mixed with lake water and molasses....sticky and smelly....fingers crossed....there are some huge carp in this lake and it's in a lovely spot so it doesn't matter if I don't catch as it's a nice day out...but as I'm always the only woman there I do like to hold up a 'biggun'...biggest for me last week was 15 and half pounds and hubbies biggest was 17lb( broke the landing net handle).....right time to go...catch up when back in bed tonight.....hope you all have a good day too peeps.0 -

Yesterday I had this conversation that started out is such a familiar way:
TROUT: I can't accept these, you haven't bought the product.
ME: Yes you can, as long as you stock the items.
TROUT: Don't be ridiculous, I can't accept them. ( Hands them back)
ME: Could you check with a supervisor?
TROUT: No use - she will say the same thing.
ME: Just try.
Silence as she summons a supervisor
TROUT: ( Sneeringly) The customer is trying to use these coupons and she hasn't bought the product, I have told her there is no way way can accept them.
( Meanwhile I am having such a violent attack of vejavu I feel I am almost having a past life regression)
SUPERVISOR: Customer is right, as long as we stock the items, we can accept them. ( Walks away)
TROUT: ( Starts scanning) Well I am doing this, but I tell you it's not right! I don't agree at all. It's like stealing!
ME: It's not stealing though is it- you are accepting the coupons in exchange for goods
TROUT: But you could pay for your whole shopping with coupons and not pay anything!!
ME: ( Smiling now) yes that would be good.
TROUT: Well all I can say is that you must have a bloody brass neck!
Thankfully the last comment did not offend me as much as she intended, I actually pride myself on having a brass neck, and often like to give it a wee buff up!
Does this scenario have a familiar ring for anyone?
i would report her too, thats verbal abuse and she should not be allowed to get away with calling you names. you should go back and speak to a manager and put a complaint in after explaining what happened, and if that doesnt work write to head office and complain.
some people think they have a god given right to say what they want, when they want and this is a classic case of this. its made me angry to! (hence my user name);)0 -

Unfortunately miss_miggins, this kind of behaviour is far too common for couponners...:( As we use coupons staff feel they have the right to verbally 'abuse' one & especially the comment re 'not paying for ur shopping' is so often said... I agree with the others that this incident should be highlighted but don't hold much hope this won't happen again & again... generally, I've found the management stick by their staff & we'r made to feel we have to accept this kind of behaviour... I've only found one GM who was soooo honest that when he found what his staff was upto he unreservedly (sp) apologised AND acknowledged there was a problem with his staff (unfortunately, in his store there was a massive staff coupon abuse so a 10% rule was imposed...:(); I also remember one of the Duty Manager's answer to my complaint of his staff was ' ... well you have to accept this as part of what happens when u shop as this is an abnormal shopping pattern...:eek::eek: abnormal as I was using coupons...:mad:It's so awful that the staff treat some peeps like the above..I was called over to CS as I entered( it's right by the entrance, and there was no-one in the queue)The SA asked me if I had any receipts from recent shops on me.I looked curious but she re-assured me she just wanted to show her colleague something...not quite sure what she intended, but I gave her my latest receipt....'now just look at that , I told you so, isn't it fantastic' she said ,she turned to me and said she had been telling her colleague what a brilliant shopper I was and how much money I saved...she said she was sooo impressed that I used so many coupons and paid so little for my shopping. the coupon I had given her was for a total for £29 and I had paid under £2....' way to go' she said' more power to your elbow'...'wish I could have a receipt like that for my own shopping'......nice to get praise for non abusive couponeering...makes me want to try harder!!!
Happenings like the above are soooo rare bullshot...:o generally, the staff feel wronged as if accepting coupons is coming out from their own wage packet...:p possibly & we'r not aware:eek:, staff might be on some kind of a bonus system when they decline to accept coupons?:p:rolleyes: But agree with u comments as the above make one feel good & appreciated lol!!!!:rotfl:0 -
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well and were trouted to boot. Is there such a thing as Trout Flu :eek:Perranlady wrote: »Can you get tablets for this!!!!!!!
And are these tablets available from T's so one can use coupons to pay for them?!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
