    thanks everyone.

Well i dont know about how long degrees etc usually take. But i am only going to into for 1 year. To get a degree..not staying till 4th year and bothering with doing an honors year.

To be perfectly honest, an ordinary degree isn't worth the paper it's written on. If you are doing a degree you really need to get an honours, especially with all the thousands of other graduates.

can't stay for 4th year as i only have 1 more year of SAAS funding left.

I would still suggest getting the honours part of the degree, even if you take a leave of absence and work for a year to fund it.

Don't worry, you'll get the funding. You will have issues going down levels and repeating years but not going up usually!

If you can get a job, then a degree is all good since it is experience from there. If you can't, do the honors instead of sitting around on the dole and better your chances of getting the job you want.

I thought you could only get 4 years on funding from SAAS?

I wouldn't worry too much. I skipped into 3rd year the same way and to the same uni (Glasgow Caledonian?) but for computing.

They will ease you into it with an induction. I thought a lot of the work was easier than I expected, so there is not an extreme change from college. Just the reports, lectures, no one-to-ones and less guidance.

You will need to be prepared to work a lot harder, learn how to do essays and do things yourself.

Thanks for that, glad someone has gone through and came out the otherside!!

So they say.. I've heard lots of stories about people getting it after that! Even if you get rejected, are the fees really that bad? Think about English students doing 4 full years paying all that more (even more per year than our tuition).

As regards to academic writing, a BIBLIOGRAPHY is a list of resources that you have read in order to help you with your research. A list of REFERENCES (and choose a standard format and keep to it such as Harvard or Numbered) is a list of resources that you have referenced in your main body of work.

Some degrees are 5 years or more, look at medicine.

Really, i only thought you got 4??!
I think its like £1500 for fees...plus £350 a month student loan i get from them.

So i would be missing out in a whole load of money :(
