I was with Orange for about 4 years, when last November i gave a months notice to cancel my contract, paid (what i was told) was the final bill in December. Great

 NOT

In March I suddenly get a bill from Orange, for £128-ish for my "monthly fee for Dec, Jan, Feb and March)

Since then i have argued the toss with them, and in May i was told that they would definatly close my account and no further money will be added/Charged to me.

It is now almost August, and i've just recieved a letter from a "solicitors" demanding a payment of £220-ish

I have NOT used this phone since november, and i cancelled the bill as of december and paid the final bill, so what can i do about this ammount that is still being billed to me, when i have done what was agreed (1 months notice etc)

It seems like it's impossible to cancel my contract :mad:

A similar thing happened to me a few months ago. I thought that Id been disconnected and then I get a bill from debt recovery. What happened was they applied a credit to clear the account however as no final bill was produced the credit was stuck on the system along with the outstanding balance. Call them up and tell them that you cancelled a while back and dont know why you are getting letters from debt collectors (the debt collection agency same company as Orange). Tell them to sort this, there will also be late payment markers on your account from months December till now (because there is still a balance outstanding on your account). If this is the case they will tell you to forward (fax) a copy of your credit report to them to prove this, they will then change the adverse late payment markers to dispute/query. Make sure they clear the account and a final bill/statement/invoice is produced and sent to you. Make a note of person you spoke to and their extension number for your own records. Hope this helps
