nokia 6300 , help with video formats etc

ive been given a nokia 6300 ...just got myslef a new sd card for it so i can load up some songs and stuff

ive tried to use some videos i have saved on my itunes and they wont work

what format do they need to be ? the itunes vids work on our newer nokia but not mine

The 6300 is 3gp, MPEG-4 or MP4 should work I think.

What extension are the itunes videos - MOV?

PS You may need to update the firmware on the phone to version 6.01.
With that the MPEG4 format ought to work with 176x144 video size and 25 frames per minute.

the updater thing on the pc suite seems to think im up to date...is that where i would find the updates right?

itunes says its mpeg4 , but they dont play? like i say they do on our newer nokia

im not too techie minded
