My (council-run) recycling centre has a textile bin, stuff that isn't fit for sale is sold for rags - maybe check your council's website to see if they do too?2015 comp wins - £370.25

our local sainsburys has a textile bank, so my clothes that have been sorted and not good enough for charity are sitting in my car boot untill i next visit - will be sooner than later as road works are making a tesco shop too much hassle at the moment.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. Hmm, this being the Old Style board, I am surprised no one has suggested using them for dusters and floor cloths yet!

Ok so Hubby and I have had a massive clearout of clothes, we have given to charity, Bootfaired and ebayed and made dusters enough to last a lifetime BUT I have about 30 stained T shirts where the material on the back of them is fine - what can I do with them? I hate to waste and fill up landfill so does anyone have any ideas???? Perhaps I could make adult bibs out of them to save other T shirts??:rotfl:
Thanks0 -
What about a clothes bank?
I don't know where clothes from a clothes bank go, but I suspect you may be able to send them to the less fortunate places further afield via a charity? I wonder if they would do that?;) Hindsight is a wonderful thing...

The clothes from most clothes banks go to be sold in shops abroad where people are desperate for clothes. This way rag merchants can make more money as the market for processed rags is not what it used to be.Clearing the junk to travel light
