Ask them to check at the sorting office and to wait until at least Tuesday. Be proactive and as helpful as possible at this stage.0

It does sound suspicious but a long shot would be for you to call RM customer services and ask for the tel. no for the local depot for their postcode. Call them and (if you can get through) ask if your package is sitting awaiting collection on the shelf. Sometimes things too large for a letter box can be attempted to be delivered and the red calling card doesnt materialise. Better this than be forced to refund only for the items to be returned to sender soon afterwards.0
