Accidental withdrawal from ISA

OH has a cash ISA and current account with the same bank. He just went to transfer his years allowance into his ISA using internet banking but instead did it the other way
Is there any chance they would be able to cancel it or is that this years ISA allowance wasted?

I did this the other day but it was only for £30.
I transfered the £30 accidently from my Natwest ISA to my current account (was supposed transfer the £30 from another account I had)
I went into the branch the same day (about an hour after doing this online) and they said they couldnt reverse the transaction as I had already used my £3600 allowance., meaning it would look like I had put in £3630 over the year if you see what I mean!
ETA- I also used internet banking and all my accounts are with the same bank.0 -

He got straight on the phone, he was talking to me when he did it and hung up rather quickly! Don't know what they said yet though.0

Yay, all sorted. Apparently the first person spoken to didn't understand the issue and said to just transfer the money back but he then spoke to someone else who was able to 'reverse' the transaction.0

Funny, I was just thinking about that! I have a current account, savings account and ISA with the same bank. I've recently started on-line banking with them. I went to move some money between my current account and my savings account and accidentally clicked on my ISA instead.
I spotted my mistake before I did anything but as my ISA is a long term plan, I'd really rather withdrawals be via post/phone only!
I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
