we have a mobile phone in my name
as originally i guaranteed the contract as he still had his ccj on which was a mistake but it took ages for us to clear up. Now though other half is on a month per month roll over contract on 02 they say they cannot put in his name and he could lose his number. is this definitely the case. sounds absurd to me particularly as they never told us about this in the first place. thanks.

Any contract can be transferred to anyone else as long as they can pass the credit check. If O2 are saying no, then it sounds like there's still something on his credit file that's causing a problem..0

o2 don't allow transfer of ownership unless it is going into a business name. The only option would be for him to get a PAC and take out his own contract.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

If he can't get a contract and he needs to keep the number then his best option would be to go for a PAYG sim card. A while ago Vodafone were doing them free, and you could order them over the phone and get them to use the PAC code and put it straight on.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0
