I have got a Miele washer I bought from Comet auction site and that is energy saving, but still gets the clothes clean, but they are fairly expensive.0

It depends what powder you are using, but many of the modern washing powders use enzymes to break down the dirt. 90 degree washes would be too hot and would kill the enzymes, stopping them working, so the earlier suggestion on this thread to try and 40 degree wash might be a good idea? It is strange though, if you haven't changed settings or washing powder, so it might well be a machine problem. If it is, I hope they fix it for you in the end!0

I tried the regular wash cycles i.e i always washed colors on 40 and whites on 60 before i bought this machine. i only went to the extreme measure of trying the 90 degree wash because none of my washing came clean.
I think it is a problem with the fact that not enough water goes into the machine to wash the clothes.
I now have resorted to a hose pipe attachment from my sink to the soap draw of the washing machine when first started to add more water and hey presto, it cleans clothes even on 40!
Bit sad that i have to do this and a lot of faffing around but at least i have clean clothes now.Total Debt 10/5/2009, £2189.10, 1/6/09 £1420.75

In reply to halloway the retailer is an independent that I'm now aware doesn't have a great reputation ( i wish i knew this before!)
I have dealt with the owner of the shop with this and his reply was pretty much tough luck spend more next time.
So like i said I'm banging my head against a brick wall on that score, i suppose i will just have to carry on with the standing at the sink with the hose pipe trick!Total Debt 10/5/2009, £2189.10, 1/6/09 £1420.75
