Plumbing for a usa type fridge freezer..

I have been investigating for a few weeks on this topic because I want a side by side fridge with ice and water dispenser but can't realistically get the plumbing to the fridge without major work.
LG have recently released a USA style model that has water/ice but does not need to be plumbed in, as far as I know this is the only model available. Model is GWL227HSYA.
With regards to delivery you would need to check with whoever you buy it from - it is your responsibility to make sure it will fit through the doors etc though!
Hi we saw the LG one..the one we have is the same but diff panel to the code you have put in glossy black!..the price was a big issue for us as the non plumbed one was £1200 in comet whereas ours was £800..but i can understand if getting it plumbed in is an issue then they are a good idea!
As for the delivery well the lads checked the house (being a new build i think they were suspicious!) and said all was fine..i really had doubts about the hall outside of the kitchen as hadn't thought of having to turn it although doors were big enough..they wouldn't deliever it up anyway as i said but they did say they would take it back if wished, really they shouldn't but they said they have over half go back as people mis judge how big they are!
Good luck with the one you get..i love ours!!0 -

You cna get away with 1/4" piping (available in loads of colours if that helps)
heres the link here:http://www.ro-man.com/shop/product_info.php/cPath/286_30/products_id/199?osCsid=63c8389dced1570e18b402a92d38747a
from this site you can also get the tap piercing (pierces a hole in your copper pipes and allows you to connect the above pipe to it) sounds painful and bad, but it comes with a clamp+ turn off switch)
at your fridge you can get adaptors to allow you to connect tthe 1/4" cable to it!
finally from the site above you can get filters which are much cheaper than getting the offical one
For the above site im a happy customer only!
hope that helps!
Thanks Nick, but the issue is the distance/objects inbetween the water supply and the fridge location. If I go one way I'd have to go round the door architrave, behind a massive radiator, into a large open fireplace (not used obviously!) out the other side to the recess for the fridge. If I went in the other direction round the kitchen I'd have to go over the utility room door, behind the cooker/hood, over the French doors and back round. Unfortuantely the water supply and recess for the fridge are at opposite corners of a 22ft kitchen!
I've decided on just using ice cube trays and a Brita filter :rotfl:0 -

could you lift up and track the floor? (ie direct root) very messy, but long term much better.0
