Im 16 months into my 18 month contract with Vodafone and I can now have a upgrade. I know that if I wait until the end of my contract I will get a better deal but my phone is knackered and I dont have a spare! Im after 2 Blackberry Storms or the Nokia N97s whats the best way to get a deal on this. I have 2 phones both due for upgrade and I really need them replaced ASAP. Im asking for a lot I know but do you know of any strings to pull?

I don't think 2 months are going to make any huge difference...
However the N97 is currently only on Vodafone (I think T mobile as well-but expensive tariff) but nowhere else, so that one might be difficult... You cannot say you will leave for someone else if they know you have nowhere to go for this phone..0 -

Just swap your SIM into a cheap eBay phone for the few weeks left.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
...or how about this from Dialaphone?

Go through Quidco and get £5 back for each order. Place one order for each phone. Now there are no guarantees but Dialaphone have tended to supply phones that are unlocked. Even that Nokia 5800 with Vodafone written all over it was unlocked - my O2 sim card worked a treat in it.
Hence, each phone costs you £15 including the £10 air time you have to buy. When you get them, try a different sim in them to see if they will work. If they do they are worth practically what you paid for them on e bay. If not. Put the PAYG sim aside until you don't need the phones anymore then put them back in the phones with all the credit intact then e bay them. Chances are you'll get close to what you paid for them.
Your two blackberries could probably sell quite well via one of these mobile buying companies - even if you get the 'non working' price.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
Three have the N97 also.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Alison I would not upgrade on Vodafone! they are a the single worst company I have ever come across for customer service, if someone goes wrong you will have no chance of getting it sorted! you can buy phones for about £20 or something, you'd be much better doing that, then they will be falling over themselves for your business once you are out of contract.0
