  • I wonder if Loquax have spotted this. Someone should mention it to them... after all we don't want them entering more than they should, do we?

Yes they know. Somebody posted about it on their forum last night, shortly after it was discussed here :D:D

so what I gather from this is -

I can't enter any more in my name, as I've won £100 and 3 x £50, it remains to be seen wether McV's will honor these as they were won before the 1st

but I can now enter in my sons name, using his/my address as long as I don't re use the codes I've already entered in my name,

then if I win in his name and I can then move onto my daughters name

    yes/no?
  • Well put!!

A lottery ticket isn't the same thing at all. If you don't win you can't then pass it on to someone else and see if they win without them forking out a penny.

Some people have only bought a few packets of biscuits but have openly admitted entering 1000s of codes, that's what McVities have the problem with.

It is McVities fault for not being clear in the first place, but now by changing the rules they have also penalised people that are only entering their own codes.

All they had to do was have unique codes or limit the number of entries per person and it would have been fair for everyone.

I dont remeber admitting entering 1000 of mcvites codes or reading anyone else saying that i was just using that number as an example. They knew this could happen but obviously coiuldn't be bothered or they would have used unique codes like pepsi did instead of using best before details.

They have still changed there terms as the didn't like who was winning

  • Is anyone else going to just sit tight and see what happens for now ?

I do understand why you were all sharing before, but I really dont understand why any of you are continuing to do it with the new rules.

You can have one small and one big win and then you are out. Most people here can't play any more so you have a good chance of winning with just a few packets of biscuits, that will cost less than the postage costs of someone sending a packet to you

Those suits at Mcvities really are a bunch of Muppets. :p

Had they given this promo any thought whatsoever this backtracking would not be necessary. A move that I think they will regret given the bad feeling this will generate.

The T&cs look like they were drawn up by Beaker (meep meep ;)). I'm sure Mr Mutton of the ISP will see us good on this - he seems to pretty good at bringing these Co's back in line.;)

I just won but as far as McVities goes i never said i had a code from someone...Sharing my winnings is not breaking any rules....Sharing the codes are ;)

And when you have 5 kids to buy for christmas and husbands lost all overtime at work for 10 months...Yes i would rather be sharing a win than buying tons of packs which i already did and got nothing from them:confused:

No. Sharing codes is NOT breaking the rules, in fact Clause 5 of their T&C's implies that it is permitted:

    5. Only 5 entries per code, per person, per address will be permitted
