    Hi everyone!

Can't believe the new T&C's but I did think something would change soon because it seemed a bit too good!

I have only won a shared £50 so far, so could still win a biggie.. but it's just disappointing if I was trying for that and kept winning £50's, they'd all be wasted!

I can still enter in my friends name & address and also my sisters if anyone has got codes they can no longer use (for a 50/50 split).

Has anyone found out if we can enter in someone else's name in the same household yet? as that part of the T&C's is confusing!

Wouldn't like to be a Mcvities employee today that's for sure.
Think it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol

I may wish I kept my gob shut :silenced: but can I make a suggestion?

None of us know what the terms and conditions mean or how it will affect us as of yet. My own opinion would be to ring mcvities tomorrow and ask what the added terms and conditions means to us first in terms of a) being paid and b) how it will alter entering in the future.

I'm a little concerned that if we jump the gun then mcvities could pull the comp altogether and it may not have affected or changed anything in the first place, we could end up shutting the stable door before the horse even bolted.
I also really believe that if this comp ends up being a real nightmare, mcvities will never do anything like it again and other companies will consider it as too much hassle. can you imagine answering to allegations if all the terms and conditions were reiterating that only one person per household could win on the same day. I be mighty fed up if it was me.

I'm not saying put up and shut up but I really think mcvities should have the benefit of the doubt and first port of call before taking further steps.

:o Anyway it's just my suggestion. I didn't want we should shoot ourselves in the foot if there was no need to.

Of course we know what the terms and conditions mean, they are written in plain English! They mean wins prior to 1st Sept will be honoured but wins after 1st Sept will be disqualified if the entrant has already won a prize of that type (minor or major). You should phone McV if you need clarification but I think they'll tell you the same thing.

I don't think McVities could legally end the promotion, could perhaps be considered false advertising, and if they did it would be marketing suicide!

In fact their sudden change in the T&C's might also be considered false advertising...

it looks like its deffo going to be worth entering a few codes after the daily draws finish for the mop up draw seen as theres going to be so many unclaimed prizes and in there tc's it states all prizes will be won

That's the bit that really pees me off, us compers spend more money on promotional products than your average shopper. Without Pleasure cards or Nokia 5800's to tempt me, I wouldnt have bought magnums or as much pepsi. The average 'genuine consumer' doesn't care about entering competitions on their biscuits, some people don't even notice!

Yep, and then we give out loads of samples of their products free to friends and family cos we've bought so much of them!

I won my first £50 yesterday so now don't know what to do because if I keep entering and win another £50 I can't claim it BUT if I stop it means no chance of a major prize either. :(
TBH it was obvious that McVities would do something to stop the blatant swapping of codes as the whole purpose of this comp was to increase sales.
However, I think they may just have well shot themselves in the foot as they now have a lot of angry customers who may well boycott their brand for good.
