    Dear Sarah,
Thank you for contacting us with your query regarding our McVitie's 'Bonkers about Biscuits' promotion.
Having reviewed all of the information fully, we can now advise further.
As you know, in order to fulfil a prize, the strict requirement of terms and conditions of the promotion is to send in the winning wrapper. As far as the promotion is concerned, and the terms and conditions relating to it, this position still stands and on the basis of the enquiries we've made about your claim, we are unable to confirm that we have definitely received your winning wrapper.
However, in light of the circumstances and the issues surrounding receipt of mail due to the recent postal strikes, in this instance as a gesture of goodwill, we will fulfil your claim to the sum of the prize money involved. We feel that this is the fairest way forward in the particular circumstances of your claim.
I trust that this is satisfactory to you, and allows us to reach a mutually acceptable outcome.
Your cheque will be delivered in the post to you shortly.
    Kind Regards
    The Bonkers about Biscuits team

received this email at tea time!

    We got this too!
Well it states we are getting the cheque anyway so that is the main thing but a weird response considering we have a recorded delivery tracking number and are able to view the date and time it was delivered as well as the receivers signature online?!?

I also got the exact same email and I had given them the tracking number showing it had been signed for.

This is the last cheque I have to get from McVities sharing with immynjoesmum and still to get 3 shares from

I take that e-mail which I received as well as quite an insult, it implies we have done something wrong to cause the delay and insinuates that possibly the wrong wrapper was sent.

I know it was the correct wrapper, I know everything was sent correctly and sent by recorded delivery as per their instructions, it was also logged by the Royal Mail as being received and a signature obtained. I have photos of everything.

And they send a e-mail with the tone that we did something wrong and they are doing us a favour!!!!!!!
