can someone pm me mcvities email please, waiting on 1 cheque sent it in same envelope as another claim that was paid out weeks ago:confused:

mcvities.consumerservices@biscuits.com for anyone that wants it. Got a friend with the same problem on a non-share
• The only peeps I've had a real problem with are softpad and stacyx.
Softpad claims to have sent me a cheque and even though i have pm'd her she still doesn't have the audacity to even reply, just passes a message on through another mser about a week ago saying she will cancel the other cheque and send me another??? Well I am still waiting but I won't hold my breath.
Stacyx hasn't been back on but i am aware some of you have a telephone number for her but then again i've got both their addresses so might send them a letter saying thanks for ripping me off or something to that affect.

Don't send a letter saying thanks for ripping me off. Send a letter letting them know that they legally owe you the money and that they now have 21 days from the date of your letter to pay or you will pursue the matter through the small claims court (which can be done easily online these days). Print out all the relevant emails / PM's and send a copy of them with the letter and keep a copy of the letter and enclosures for yourself to make the Small Claims Court claim easier. List the enclosures as a footnote in your letter.

I doubt anyone so greedy that they would keep another person's share of a win would want to pay out court costs as well as your share of the win. You can even keep note of the time taken to write the letter, to find the emails / PM's and to print them out and to post the letters at the Post Office, the cost of postage, etc. and add that to the amount you claim through the Small Claims Court. There's probably an hourly rate recommended by the court. You can add interest too, and there's a recommended rate for that. And don't forget to charge for the time you spend working out the amount to add on for interest and your time.

You may get a pretty quick response from them...
• This is what I will be doing I am waiting on two long overdue shares and getting fed up now luckily I kept all my pm's

still no sign of sis in laws cheque grrrr have emailed edwin about it
• Waiting on two cheques in my mum and friends name. I'm going to ring but wondered will they speak to you if it's in someone elses name or are people just saying they are that person, just thought I'd check before I ring.
Winnings : Mars football x3, Rugby Ball, Cricket Ball x2, Vodkat kit, £10 Tesco Card, Barcardi Mojito Hamper
• I'm still waiting on a £50 cheque from McV. Just checked on the Post Office website and it says it is "still progressing through our delivery network" after being posted on 22nd September. I guess that's past the 28 days then!

Really annoying because I've already paid out the £25 share, so I'm now £25 down on where I would have been if I hadn't had the win. Thanks Post Office!

(But I'd better not say anything nasty about the Post Office in case some troll feels they have to leap out in support of the marvellous institution - probably their hobby... and after all, I only had to pay £1.14 for the privilige of shafting myself for £25 - bargain!)

I've had recorded deliveries go missing before. I've tried to claim and found they wouldn't even refund the postage. They do a very good job.*

• PS  Grrrrr!!!
• It says:

"Winners have 28 days to claim their prize by sending their winning promotional pack and unique reference number to the handling house."

so I guess McV might allow late entries so long as they were posted within 28 days rather than recieved within 28 days, given the postal strike problems...

It could still have arrived. I have two letters, one recorded which was sent in September which still reads that it is being processed. Second one is an international signed for posted beginning of November which also reads still being processed. However I have phoned both Companies up and they have confirmed receipt of the letters. It seems that our good ol Royal Mail and same in Netherlands where I posted my international letter to are not very good at scanning the barcode to update the system.

You can phone RM and they will give you more updated information that what is on the website tracking.

Dear Sarah,
Thank you for contacting us with your query regarding our McVitie's 'Bonkers about Biscuits' promotion.
Having reviewed all of the information fully, we can now advise further.
As you know, in order to fulfil a prize, the strict requirement of terms and conditions of the promotion is to send in the winning wrapper. As far as the promotion is concerned, and the terms and conditions relating to it, this position still stands and on the basis of the enquiries we've made about your claim, we are unable to confirm that we have definitely received your winning wrapper.
However, in light of the circumstances and the issues surrounding receipt of mail due to the recent postal strikes, in this instance as a gesture of goodwill, we will fulfil your claim to the sum of the prize money involved. We feel that this is the fairest way forward in the particular circumstances of your claim.
I trust that this is satisfactory to you, and allows us to reach a mutually acceptable outcome.
Your cheque will be delivered in the post to you shortly.
Kind Regards
The Bonkers about Biscuits team
