Anyone who has been on the boards for any length of time will have know that ginjim is known to avoid these types of comps as he finds the endless input too boring. Therefore, millionaireman's claims of jealousy would appear to be complete rubbish imho.

I also get the impression that ginjim has the utmost respect for those who run promotions and he does like to play by the rules so (again imho) I doubt he would get involved in the code swapping, etc like many of us did. Also, I don't think he came on here condemning any of us for swapping codes (even though I'm betting he probably thinks it is not in the spirit of the comp) - he just took exception to someone disrespecting the company (which is fair enough really)

I couldn't agree any more with needahol..please let's not end this thread badly, as so many of us have made friends along the way, and proved you can trust complete strangers..

If big snap does come back, can someone give me an idiots guide, cos I didn't do it last year (it looked too difficult)..

looking on the comps board this afternoon, we could need to refer each other on another spin to win..
June wins: 2 x Robbie Williams tickets, iPad mini, £200 skatehut voucher :)

A huge thank you to all posters xx

For 'Big Snap' what does it involve and do you have to purchase anything?

No purchase required for Big Snap, it was just a search engine - info below

Live Search (MSN's internet search product) was promoted with a competition called "Big Snap" that gave away a prize every hour for 8 weeks. Every new search triggered a pair of cards to flip over at the top of the screen above the search results. If these cards matched you would win the prize shown on them. Easy! The game turned out to be one of the most successful ever with literally millions and millions of plays per day.
    08 wins £3000+ :j09 wins £4408:j2010 (6 months off) £2004:j2011 £10,003 :j 2012 - £6013 :j2013 wins £8500 :j 2014 £5530 so far....

I hope not, I hated it! It took over my life more than Bonkers did and I didn't win once! Some people were really lucky with it though, I'm sure I read that someone won £11k on the first one!

From memory, the first Big Snap started early 2008 (around Feb, I think) and the second one started Oct 2008 so I thought they might have had another by now if they were going to do another.

The comp was developed by Thin Martian. They also did the Iconic Britain comp where you could win Nikon cameras (I did win one of those :D) and the more recent comp where you won the Play vouchers (didn't enter that one so don't know much about it)

cg played all these comps so she may be able to provide more info (I think she had links to what the winning screens looked like a few pages back)
