I had pethadine, never again! All it did was make me want to sleep, didnt take any of the pain away so I was half asleep in the worst pain ever and then the pethadine made my contractions stop so I was in labour twice as long! Next time Im trying the no pain relief route but cant see that happening :rolleyes:

Thought I'd add mine, first was 4 days in full labour wouldn't take me in at the hospital, had 3 bottles of gas and air, epidural, his heart beat was NOT good so had a vutose to get him out he came out blue and not crying but he was fine (had about 15 doctors around me at the time when they realised he was back to back), then 2nd one had to be induced because thought my waters had broke but when I think back I think I weed myself!!! then when in labour and wouldn't let them touch me wouldn't give me a epidural wanted to take me to surgery, but at 5cm I told them I wanted to push and they wouldn't let me, so I pushed anyway swearing away at them and finally out he came weighting only 4lb 13

:eek: 16 days late...I think where I live they let you get to 14 days late, which was still later than I wanted..my DD was due on Valentine's day..

Wow cg - that's two very punctual babies you had..

I did bouncing on a big space hopper ball for pain relief..by the time I mentioned I wanted drugs, they said I was ready to push, so I couldn't have any..I didn't like gas and air, so natural and 8 lbs, for those of you that have me on facebook, that is big for me I promise...

ooh names...I loved going through a letter a night with OH..we really struggled on boys names, so probably a good job we had a girl..

Gas and Air made me feel like i had been on a 24 hours drinking bender! It didnt help that my whole 13 hours labour I had to be constantly on all fours! So I was there on the floor having this gas and air swaying around in circles on all fours feeling like i was so drunk and about to throw up!

My first was due on the 18 dec, went into labour on my 17th birthday(christmas day) at 6.30 in the morning and he was eventually born 1.30.am boxing day. Theres only 10 months between my middle two and my last baby weighed a massive 10lb 1oz :eek:

Good to see the threads still alive, i'd tell you mine but it was a gas induced state and only really remember john tickle, lisa simpsons trumpets and telling the midwifes off for chewing
