on a good note, I've just had a fabulous win, which I'm off to post on IWIW..
If I have ever paid in a cheque which has bounced, it usually gets posted back to me along with a letter from Lloyds TSB.
Congratulations on your win x0 -
Thanks for that lkash..I've had nothing posted back so far so hope all is OK..
I've won a personal styling session and £1,000 wardrobe with Reiss through the Sunday Times..I'm already looking online to see what I can buy..am thinking one nice handbag, and the rest on clothes..their coats look nice but very pricy..I'm so excited:jJune wins: 2 x Robbie Williams tickets, iPad mini, £200 skatehut voucher
A huge thank you to all posters xx0 -
Ok, let me just clarify this - bounced was probably the wrong term to use. I spent 2 years bouncing cheques to survive in my debt ridden world so the word comes naturally to me !
Stopped cheque is probably the right term. You get a cheque, you bank it, you assume all is well, then it doesnt get paid. You dont get charged by your bank, but if you have paid out to someone else, it can get messy.
McVities eventually sent me a letter stating duplicate cheques issued in error - so if you have only had 1 x £50 win, or 1 x £250 win, it would be obvious to you when you received 2 cheques that something was amiss.
However if you have had 6 x £50s for example, you wouldnt think anything of banking more than one £50 cheque.
It seems they may have processed the same run of winners more than once. Hence the delays we are seeing now perhaps?

I also received a call from mcvities to say that they'd had to get a team in to help them with the backlog of claims (they didnt expect it to be that big) what did they expect?? that 50 winners a day wouldn't claim their prizes?? And that all cheques owed form the sept wins were being sent out in batchs this week and should be with me by the latest monday so I guess that would be the same for everybody.
This was a quote a few pages back from jodester. So I am assuming there will be another influx of cheques next Monday, or possibly later due to proposed postal strike.VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

Not excited no ! Is it wrong to admit that outloud?
I am petrified, perplexed, worried.... Convinced I am going to have complications (4th caesar, now the docs have mentioned highly dangerous - great !) Scary knowing life will never be the same again.
Very very nervous and unable to sleep/eat/concentrate.
Oh well. Bring it on I suppose.VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID
