  • This is my last Wednesday of calmness ! Dont think many people with 3 kids would say they live in calmness, but thats how it feels at the moment with the imminent arrival.

99% certain its a girl, but I have 3 girl names and 3 boy names just in case. I have 3 girls already so I would love another girl, but I am prepared in case of a last minute surprise !

You will have fun in your house with 4 teenage girls in the future :D

Good Luck again hope it all goes well, my little girl is 1 in 5 weeks and it only seems like 5 minutes ago I was counting down the days to the birth!

  • Hadnt thought of the teenage hormones !! Thanks for that x

Thanks for the good luck - I need every bit of it.

One year is a beautiful age - dont need to spend too much money on the presents and party, but you can enjoy your baby unwrapping and playing with the empty box and the paper and the toys !!

A piece of paper or an evelope when the post comes keeps her occupied for ages :D so dont think she will be interested in the presents but its hard not to spoil them when its your first.

Oooooh good luck money, Ive got 4 boys but dont think I could push once more for a girl :)

Had another call from mcvities today but other half took it as I was out, it was just to inform me that even though 1 of packets has been signed for that they haven't received it and to take it up with royal mail??

How can I take it up with royal mail when its been signed for?? needless to say I have wrote them a very sharp letter and posted it today with the proof of signature.

That's absolutely ridiculous. Their T&Cs say to send it recorded so you know it got there. You did. Royal Mail will just say they did their bit if you go to them. This whole thing is a bit of a joke from their end. I just hope they come good in the end for us all.

Got your wrappers today. And orangelily and i love a bargains. Will post them all off ASAP.

McVities seem to have employed a Mickey Mouse organisation to deal with this comp. You would think with large amounts of money involved they would have hired people who knew what they were doing.Fingers crossed we all get our winnings safely eventually.I won £25 on the premium bonds today I thought the lowest prize was £50

Hi Sammiewoo, I think that was me! They claimed that they had not recieved my claim for my shared £500 win, luckily the person who had sent the wrapper off directly to them had kept the reference number which clearly showed it being signed for on the 24th August. I then had a phone call a couple of days later saying that the cheque would be with me last Tuesday. Fortunately they did keep to there word and it cleared yesterday. I have also spoken with them with regards to other wins I am waiting on and have said that there is a backlog, however if you are concerned I would recommend phoning them as if I hadnt we might not have got our cheque. The person I was dealing with was called Helen and she was very helpful. x

Edit: Just to add for those waiting on early cheques, your not alone! My cheques outstanding are from 23rd August, 27th August and 2nd September.

Thanks hun - didnt get home in time to ring them today so will ring from work in the morning (when the boss not about!!:D) xx
