Posting this on behalf of someone else.

"I got a Nokia 5800 from Orange in order to be able to check email on the go. I know that I was told you can have your email provider (I use Hotmail) synced to the phone in some way - I was shown a phone with the four contacts on the home screen which have a 'live feed' of the most recent emails from that person.

How do I do such things? I've read the instruction manual, and got v. confused:rolleyes:.

All I want to be able to do is check email on the go, easily, without logging on through the phone's browser and going to hotmail.com and checking that way every time; I'm sure this is possible, isn't it? Help!! "

Anyone know the answer please?

http://email.nokia.com is the push service - works with Hotmail now that they finally have moved to POP3.

You need a data service though or have access to a WiFi connection (e.g. your home wireless network).

Top tip: you can also download a program from Nokia Downloads (off your phone) called Birdstep Smartconnect which allows you to set up a list of connection methods (so set your home wifi as top priority, then your data connection, etc.)
The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster! :)

Thank you both very much. I will email the person who wants this info and suggest they post back if they need further clarification.
