The most amazing deal from Carphone Warehouse!

What "service" - we are hardly deciding how much to tip waiters here - can a couple of emails and a free envelope be a highly different value from one company than from another?gtz101 wrote:There was no misleading information.
It was the best deal as far as I can see. If I was to do a survey to ask people who offers a better all around, you'll find CPW would come out on top. They have also been voted the best retailer for a while now.
Again, I repeat for allround service CPW would come out on top especially for this deal (including service).
None of this warrants the hyperbolic "most amazing" description, or that no other offer comes close
CPW itself had the Nokia 6310i on two clearance offers recently, which is still in demand and reputed to be one of the best Nokia phones made0 -

CPW state 60 days from receipt of bill when sending your bill for cash back rebates. What does mobileshop offer? 30 days? It usally takes 2 weeks for bills to come home and gives you very little time to organise and send out your bills especially if it goes missing.
CPW cashback is a 3 stage process.....whats Mobileshops? 4 stages...meaning more costs, i.e. sending via recorded delivery etc.
I'm not saying mobileshops offer bad service. They are a very good company, very reputable. I do recommend them, but Im just saying that CPW offer better allround service and deal here.0 -
I think you should just apologise to redux for using "most amazing" in your post :rotfl: because he's right and you're wrong in his opinion0

So I see ...gtz101 wrote:I'm not saying mobileshops offer bad service. They are a very good company, very reputable. poopscoop, I'm not putting any self-inflated value on my opinion, simply objecting to incomplete knowledge posted as fact, followed by aggressively shooting down pricefighter's recommendation of another company with made-up reasons. All I asked was "... and quit the abuse of other companies."
The 250 minutes O2 offer has been permanently available at Mobileshop and others for almost 3 months, as anyone genuinely (eg PF, but not the OP) recommending them would know.0 -
No it's notgtz101 wrote:You still don't get it.
I'm saying the CPW deal is the best at the moment.
You might have come across a special limited offer from CPW, which is now out of stock, Mobileshop.com has had the o2 - 250m mins tariff on 12 months FREE for quite a few months now and I've not seen it go out of stock, with a range of Brand new phones like the Nokia 3120, 6030 etcgtz101 wrote:I know there are other offering similiar deals on cash backs etc for a similar deal but overall, CPW is better as they offer a much better after sales, peace of mind, and their terms and conditions are far more favourable than say mobileshops, in other words, it makes the deal a far better one than say you mobileshops deal.Try comparing the terms and conditions for both companies and you'll notice a big difference.
I;m referring to the overall deal/package (not just what it says on the website about free line rental for 12 months)
Have a look at this the 6030...
http://www.mobileshop.com/mobile-phones/o2/contract-mobile-phones/nokia-6030.php/
it's a much better than the 2600 reconditioned phone offered by CPW and it's comes brand new and boxed!!
I/my family have cashback offers with both CPW and Mobileshop I've found both of them to offer really good service. With the o2 12 month free plans I would prefer to deal with Mobileshop than CPW as mobileshop have nearly allways have a 12 month free on their website, with CPW/e2save you may be one of the lucky ones to get one of these offers when it comes round.
Mobileshop send you an e-mail on the day they get your cashback claim voucher and tell you the date you should get your money, which has been transferred straight into my bank account when I have claimed. whereas with our last CPW claim we didn't know anything until the cheque came through the post, they normally send you a text message when they are proccessing/sending out your cheque.
You said in an earlier post mobileshop may only give you 30 days to send in your claim, it actually works out to be about 60 days the same as CPW
When you get an o2 contract via the CPW the customer service and billing is dealt with by CPW as they are getting the airtime from o2 and selling it on to you.
The only point I can find where CPW is better than Mobileshop is CPW deals have 3 claims and Mobileshop have 4 claims.Nearly debt free

So he does have a point - you need one extra stamp :rolleyes:MrGreen wrote:The only point I can find where CPW is better than Mobileshop is CPW deals have 3 claims and Mobileshop have 4 claims.
The OP also recommends e2save, but there were quite a few people upset by them turning down Orange off-peak contracts recently, some for spurious reasons like credit rating, then offering T-mobile contracts instead. They have sent me 3 spam emails since I said I wasn't interested.0 -
Id disagree that its the best deal, think FLEXT is the best deal (Think its T-Mob available with carphone Warehouse) whereby you pay £30-32 a month, although dont quote me on the exact figure) and you get something like 1200 mon/0 texts, 1100 min/100 texts, 900 min/300 texts....etc etc hence the name FLEXT, its flexible. If you use similar min and texts its something like 700min/500texts but it changes every month depending on what youre using, if that makes sense.
So one month you might make a lot of calls because you're having a family crisis or something, and no texts, then the next month hardly any calls cos youve fallen out with your boyfriend and loads of texts to your mates arranging nights out! This is where it beats a rigid 300min/200 texts because you have different months when you use different things!
Its probably on their website for more info0 -
The deal is available again ...0
