PAC and contract notice

I've given notice to 3 and my contract ends 15th August. Not impressed with the retention offer made and intend to switch to o2. I didn't ask for PAC code. If I do so now will that mean I have to contract for 30 days from the PAC request instead of finishing on 15th August?

Thanks

You've done it the wrong way round. You need to get your PAC, give to new provider to port number, then cancel old contract once ported.
If you terminate without a PAC, you will lose the number.

Go back to them and ask for a PAC code now. They should oblige.

Don't go to Vodafone. O2 are sound enough.

Why do you say not to go to Vodaphone? That's where I intend to go! Please don't tell me their reception is worse than 3?
