PAC Code problem

Hi all,

Ordered Wife a new mob phone from mobiles.co.uk on the O2 network. We have got the PAC code in hand from Orange.... but the problem is my wife is only here tomorrow (friday) and is away for 2 weeks (am away for 1 week too).

My question is... can we ring O2 tomorrow to give them PAC code before the mobiles.co.uk delivery arrives? If we wait until monday when its supposed to arrive wife will be in poland and unable to give PAC code to O2.... thus keeping us on the Orange network and the O2 network for 2 weeks too long.

Thanks for the help.

Neas

Have you got a temp number from o2 yet?

When did you order as it takes a few days for it to appear on o2s systems..
  • The order should appear on o2's systems within 24hrs of the order being placed i think, thus you should be able to give o2 a call with the PACs tomorrow.

The only problem you may come across is that for a port to be successfully processed both the current network sim and the o2 sim must be in the UK on the day the port is due to complete. If your wife was planning on taking either handset with her to poland then the port will not complete as if contact them tomorrow the port will be due to go through on tuesday whilt your wife is away.

    Hope that makes sense

Shes taking a tesco mobile payg sim to use abroad.. so both sims will be in uk at the time.

We will try giving O2 a call today.. I will check what time their offices are open to .. as we ordered at 7pm.. so 24 hrs would put us at 7pm again tonight.

Cheers guys will give it a try or ask what other options are available.. amd sure they will want to help as its new custom etc.

    o2 customer service are 8am-9pm.

I'd try calling now to see if you have an account as sometimes pretty instant to setup.
