    Cars, eh!

I think we have two cars at week that we seem to be selling for a hobby as there's nowt left in them by the time you've done stuff to them! And this is when they're three years old!

Dread to think what they're gonna be like in 7 or 8 years time!

So do you think I should be getting on to Vauxhall about these three issues (one of which quite major), all within 16 months and 12k miles? Or should I accept and be happy that I have a warranty which ensure these issues are fixed at no cost to me?

Thanks for all the helpful replies.

Car is being repaired today. It's the "brain" that's gone (!), apparently. I asked how much would this have been if it were to have happened outside of warranty, and the service engineer said about £900 all in.

So, whilst I'm not pleased that a car so new has developed such a large and expensive fault, I am relieved that I won't have to pay for it.

The service engineer isn't being entirely truthful, since ECUs can be repaired for a couple of hundred quid.

As to the faults, its an early example of a new model. Nothing unusual.

But it is quicker and easier for them to change the whole unit. Why make life hard?? ;)
