Ah right, Lloyds service does seem a bit ambitious - especially their "at least £1 Million savings" division. :eek:Male.

Does a Private banking manager have any power ?, so if for example you really wanted a particular product or service, and its the computer says no can he get it for you ?, or is no just no ?.
I guess what I am saying is that does having a large amount with the bank help, I don't personally think it should.
Yes they have the ability to deal with more "interesting" cases where things would be declined typically.
You could open open a standard current plus account within a branch and they would then make the introduction to a local relationship manager who would be able to upgrade your account to advantage private or open a black card account for you.0 -

this is right and as has been said they do have some extra power on certain things i mean it doesnt work with everything but there are certain things they can do that us in branch cannot do! if you have any questions then please just ask and if i dont know the answer then i will have a look in to something if you want all the facts before commiting to anything!Currently working for NatWest Retail. 1. Why are Natpest so bad?
2. Do they treat their staff as bad as their customers (reminding myself of natweststaffmember of course)
3. Who exactly is 'Application Verification Unit' - if it is fraud, why not call it fraud dept?
4. Do staff get offered everything or is it harder to get approved?
5. How long have you worked there, considered moving to a proper bank?
Thanks :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

4. Do staff get offered everything or is it harder to get approved? No we have to apply and subject to a credit score. we do have access to very competitively priced products though
5. How long have you worked there, considered moving to a proper bank?
Why would we do that? Everyone needs a job and in the current climate why would we give up employment voluntarily?Kavanne

My 2 cents which you probably won't like.
LOL, thanks - I actually think they were answered remarkably well considering I left myself open to mega abuse!
Surprised you have the same checks though, I did think the old days came into play with the staff (i.e. you rub my shoulders and i'll rub yours kinda !!!!!!) lol
I must admit, i'm convinced that AVU is the fraud dept so why don't people just admit it? - application verification, in layman terms = application fraud.... doesn't it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

LOL, thanks for replying - I was being facetious but like Kavanne, you answered in true diplomatic style :T :T
I now know why you like them, a year with Barclays must have taught you how NOT to be a personal banker eh? :rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

honestly it really isnt there is a fraud dept. the unit is more of an excpetions team more than anything of course im sure they also look at fraudulant applcations but that isnt their main role so that is why people wont admit it is the fraud dept cause it isnt!!!Currently working for NatWest Retail. I wonder at the prudence of anyone who keeps more than £50,000+ tied up in one bank just to qualify for private banking. Were it not for the generosity of the State bail out, they would have considerably less today.
