Old Speckled Hen - ASDA

  • Asda just called to check I want them at £5. Nice of the guy to check first. Rubbish Asda policy that you effectively have no idea what you pay for an item until it arrives.. they might as well not price anything, or at least make it clear prices are only a guide.

report them to consumer direct and they will pas it on to trading standards - it illegal to show a offer then switch the price.....

    Hi,

my first order last night too - due to be delivered tonight.

Haven't heard from CS yet tho.

To be fair, it did state that the price was only a guide - tho I have no intention of paying £5 per pack :)

    Cheers,
    Karen

just logged in to asda, my order is still there for 12*4 at 1.51 , i went and tried to alter the order for no subs, when i go there the price shows 4.83 per pack, i left alone and it reverts to 1.51. i will be out when delivery arrives but OH is under strict instructions to check bill before taking in, they can bring the whole order ( £50 ) over 18 miles and i will reject the lot.

where do we stand legally on wanting it at 1.51

  • This is definitely expired now; I just visited half a dozen stores and they were all out of stock, and it looked like the SELs had been intentionally removed or replaced by brand new £5/£4.98 SELs.

Just rejected the delivery - only one pack at full price! The driver said that he had another reject for speckled hen in the van too. Strange that!

Hi I ordered 12 packs and clicked that I would accept substitutions. The packs showed as £1.51 each online last night. When my delivery arrived; no Speckled Hen. They said it was out of stock and did not bring me a substitute. Can they do this?
