I heart charity shops!

Just got back from my lunch break and am soooo chuffed! :T

Did a quick trawl of the charity shops (am going to a festival next weekend and needed some new items!) and managed to come back with:

Black leggings £2.45
Pretty tartan style summer ra-ra skirt (Bay Trading) £3.49
Smart Black Top for Work (ok so non festival related) £1.79
Funky Cow Print top from New Look (looks better than it sounds honest!) £4.49

That's a total of £12.22 for four items which averages out at £3.05 per item! Hoorah! :T

I encourage everyone to start shopping in charity shops immediately!

  • i absolutely love charity shop shopping! Some of my favourite clothes are from charity shops and i get a lot of my son's clothes in them too. I've even bought a few bits for OH as well (although he doesn't know that's where they've come from :D

I've always been a little scared of charity shops :o As a guy I can't stand shopping at the best of times and for some reason I can't seem to get over my phobia of shopping for second hand clothes.

I do visit charity shops on occasion to make donations, but have never managed to actually buy anything from one (apart from home furnishings).

I've had some good stuff out of charity shops recently- a brand new pair of principle's trouser (£4), a brand new black 'off the shoulder' principles top (£3) a brand new m&s limited collection top (£8) (expensive I know!)
And oodles of other stuff all brand new or worn maybe once at the most (by brand new I mean- still have tags on!)
I must have good charity shops round here! :D
  • they do stock some ex catalogie stuff - i have seen it advertised in the shop windows.

I got the most gorgeous marks and spencers bracelet for my grandma's birthday that I'd seen in M&S for £16. Only cost me 75p!

    This is definatly true!

My boyf suggested we save up for a shopping trip down to London to do the charity shops down there! Apparently the ones down Portobello Road etc are great. I've never been to London shopping so would be great fun!

Charity Shops are great, because you get different things. A lot of the high street shops all stock the same kind off stuff....which at the moment seems to be dayglo yellow/orange/pink and everything seems to be sack-like and have no shape!

So it's good as you get to see a variety of stuff (besides the fact that it's so damn cheap!)
