Hope you do too Twinklie :o:D
My thermometer is playing up which isn't helping either, it says my temperature is 33  I've had to dig out the old fashioned under-the-tongue one, which ds doesn't like and is a nightmare to do if he's asleep :o

Dr phoned back and said no, no,no, its not swine flu  :o ... so why the hell is the website giving away the meds to anyone with a temperature?

The dr did say to keep an eye on him during the night and call him out if I'm worried, which worried me again lol ....

  • Hi Benben, sorry to hear DS is poorly, hope he hasn't got swine flu. Does he have any of the other symptoms? Its difficult isn't it taking time off work when they're poorly but obviously essential when they're definately too ill for school. Hope he's on the mend soon x

Well the sypmptomchecker thing is almos useless ... they need to have a temperature (definitely!) and 2 other symptoms. He has the tiredness and all over aches, but then so would anyone with a high temperature  He doesn't have the cough, but this doesnt always start straight away apparently. The main thing is a high temp which develops suddenly, which is a box he definitely ticks  Will see what the dr says in the morning. But do you know the worst bit ... his utterly useless-waste-of-space-father hasn't even bothered to call and see how he is today

  • My DD has one of those too, useless - waste - of - space - father, that is. I know its hurtful, I still feel it too after 9yrs when her Dad is thoughtless, but you are there for your DS all the time and all he needs right now is you. Hopefully he won't realise too much that his Dad hasn't rung but I'm sure when he is older he will remember how you were always there and how you looked after him, through the good and not so good. x

Morning all :D A much better nights sleep last night, ds temperature has finally decided to respond to the medicines and he's feeling much better today :D Another lazy sofa day and hopefully he'll be okay for school tomorrow.
My plan today is to recover the money I lost last night by finding some more bets to place, I also want to change the bedding, do some washing, sort out banking stuff online and maybe even get my christmas cards written  I know that last one seems a bit bonkers but I never have time nearer the time so I may as well use the time I have indoors today :D

I've just had a nice warm bath and ds is in there now playing with his toys :D Not much point in me straightening my hair with all this rain, so will just let it dry then tie it back. Mum is going to pop in for half an hour later so I can go to WW, I think I must be the only person who doesnt go stir crazy being indoors all the time, I actually love mooching about indoors, the especially on days like this when its wet and miserable outside :o

The Book People delivery just arrived, I'm quite disappointed as both the Roald Dahl box sets have broken boxes :o Their website says they will arrange to collect them and redeliver, but its a hassle as its dhl, so if I'm not in when they come I cant just nip to the post office to pick them up, grrr!
