Boots, save £75 with Olay Ole!

.
I stock up on whatever is BOGOF (mouthwash at the moment) or stuff that is reduced (lots of handwash/shower gels around )
I also always split my basket into £5 lots.
Anyone with young children will also find it very easy to spend £5, especially if they are lucky enough to find some of the reduced nappies around or Boots Expert Baby Wipes are BOGOF too.
Lots of ideas HERE for current boots bargains
Also, you get a skincare voucher back when you do the Olay Ole even though you are only spending £1.76
And don't forget my personal favourite for "getting vouchers by buying things you do actually need"... (fanfare, please!):
Get a £5.00 top-up for your mobile!!!
(and your OH's mobile, and your DS's mobile, and your DD's mobile - separate transactions of course ).
I (OH,DS,DD) always need mobile top-ups. It's money I/we are going to spend anyway. So we (OK, I) spend that £5.00, and get a £5.00 skinnie back :T:j
I first read this tip on a Boots Grabbit thread, so I take no credit for finding it out. I can't remember who first shared it - but I'm sure he/she wouldn't mind that it's being passed on again.
P.S. Sandra, thanks for the great glitch! I am preparing for an expedition to the [STRIKE]big city[/STRIKE], slightly larger town tomorrow to see if the ACM is kind
(Thermos? Check. Sarnies? Check. Re-mortgage to afford train tickets? Hmmm....)

I'm guessing that ACM means Advantage Card Machine, or the Advantage Point that is in most Boots stores.
There's an offer at the mo where you get a £5 skincare voucher (valid on some Olay, Time Delay, L'Or!al and Nock Lowe skincare products) for every £5 that you spend in store. If spending more than £5 try to break your purchases into £5-ish segments and you get more skincare vouchers ('skinnies'). I think it runs till 11 August.

so if we are able to use more than one skinnie per transaction has no-one tried using 3 or 4 together to buy one of the expensive creams ie £20+ ?
im not shopping till tomorrow but i may go and have a try !!

I went to try yesterday but the ACM would not give me a voucher. So I had a money off voucher so picked up a £5,86 cleanser and went the till with some other things but waas just below £10.00. I asked the SA if I neededto spend 10 to get another voucher but she said no the tll was just spitting them out no matter what I spent. So she said get another cream. So I did and then she said do it again. So I got 3 face washes for £2.58 with only one spend. Watch out for it ladies. Off to another store today to try to get the acm voucher. Many thanks Sandra and keep up the good work.0

Hi Rose! Nice to "see" you again. And Coolcait, I forgot the obvious - the mobile phone top-up - thanks for this great reminder. A very simple way to get your £5 "Skinny".
I'm so glad that so many of you are making the most of this Great Glitch (if you can get the 500 points) or the Good Glitch, if you just get the £5 voucher.
But I think mishkanorman, that you wouldn't be able to get a beautiful expensive £30 cream with 6 vouchers, cos you'd have only "bought" one item,.
A lovely thought, though! The Great Glitch works, cos you are buying 2 Olay items, using a £5 voucher on each, plus your 500 points. And the 500 points are awarded if you buy 2 Olay items.
Who knows though, in the world of Boots? If you have success, mishkanorman, there will be a stampede to Boots!!!!!

It would be lovely if it did... however, you'd only be buying one item, so only entitled to use one voucher - the current glitch works because you're buying two items using two vouchers.....
No ACM voucher for me last time I looked0 -

Alas, hand cream isn't included in the deal.

Many thanks for this post - I live over 20 miles from the nearest branch with an ACM, but i still think its great that you get the skincare voucher for any spend, and also get it when you purchase using your previous voucher - when these have been out in the past you did not get a new voucher when you purchased using your previous voucher. I bought a reduced baby moisturiser this morning for 99p, got my voucher, got my Olay face wash and paid 86p (with voucher), got another voucher - and looks like i can just carry on. Can't be bad, even without the 500 points i am happy with this.0

A friend in Devon has phoned to tell me about a great Boots glitch - it's this one! She was issued with her 5 x 500 points vouchers today, and said the SA was very pleased for her!
