Moving to an area with no signal on current contract

I have 2 mobile phones with T-mobile, I have had them for nearly 3 years and I am in at least another year of contract with them.
At my work I do not have a signal at all and I am now this weekend moving to the area, again no signal at home.
I have emailed them and they have responded saying I cannot cancel my contract unless I pay the remainder which is fair enough if I was cancelling just for the sake of it but I am not.
Does anyone know where I stand with this? I have always been a good customer, and as I have pointed out to them I cannot afford to pay for 2 mobiles that are redundant plus another PAYG one which will work in the area.
Can TS help at all as T-mobile are essentially not providing the service I am paying for.
Thank you :)

No provider guarantees 100% network coverage I'm afraid so you can't cancel on these grounds alone.

I was in a similar position 4 years ago. I had just started a new contract (with O2) and then 6 weeks later moved house (albeit only half a mile from my old house) and whilst at home I had no signal what so ever. The only thing which I could do, and did, was after 6 month of the 12 month contract, drop down to the lowest package (100 mins & 50txts from memory) in order to minimize my losses.
    My £2 savings total for 2007 = £92, for 2008 = £124
    My savings from money off coupons for 2007 = £67.97, for 2008 = £194.79
    My £2 savings for 2009 (so far) = £130
My savings from money off coupons for 2009 = £593.08
