another £500 o.p. thanks partly to xmas monies recieved ty kind relatives!
Ive started buying asda vouchers via my utility supplier , this gives me 5% off food and petrol, its not much but it all helps! going to get some ebaying started when i get a chance, hope everyone had a good christmas & new yearMortgage free:beer:

its been a strange week this has, ive only worked monday and thursday with it being shut for the rest of the week! done a bit of ebaying and im only 300 points off £50 from yougov surveys.our bathroom tap has broken this week so that is costing £30 for a new one plus £25 to fit it which i thought was reasonable, my house insurance is due which is £140 so unless i use credit card a bit more then o.p. will be small.
Also i have 2 chucks which i usually get 2 eggs off, more 1 these last few weeks with the cold and im having to change the water everyday as it ices over!i have mentioned them only as they are great pets as they save me money on eggs! i worked out it costs 6p a day to feed them so thats about 4p an egg which is 48p a dozen and the eggs are better tasting as they are nearer free range!Mortgage free:beer:

golfiematt, just stumbled across your thread, l think you're doing really well considering your circumstances (just earning above minimum wage).
I've just renewed our buildings & contents insurance, to save £30 by paying over the year with direct debit l put it on our credit card to pay off at end of month, well every little helps x

ive had a look at the buy to let market and wondered on what peoples thought/experiences are of renting a house and ideally covering a second mortgage payments with the rent? as far as i can see the only pitfall is an empty house or a bad tennant?? are there any threads on this thanks
