Thanks for the comments. Its easy to get carried away with the objective. Last overpayment for the year has been made which means 6k O.P. for 2013 is massive considering our wages have dropped. Priorities for 2014 will be a new back door and window (current one is wooden, whats left of it!) redecorate DS room and possibly a few other rooms.as of 12/12/13The mortgage is £72860. looking at what we have achieved this year im really happy with the figure.Mortgage free:beer:

You have a tenant in your chicken house
Hope it's sorted soon. I too would have a problem with a tenant if I could find where she's b*ggered off to :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Ha ha! No the chicken house is at our house! Had a neighbor of the tenant threaten legal action over a car parked without tax in the shared drive.sometimes when things go bad I think sell up! ...but we are keeping with it for now.hope you find a new tenant soon (I know that feeling too)
I've got an ankle op at the start of next month so fingers crossed that goes well and back to normal asap.Mortgage free:beer:

Woohoo! I've just checked the mortgage balance and it now stands at £69767.68 as of the 7th April 2014. taking the flat out this leaves £9767.68. Wow I never thought I'd see it so low:T the flat problem has been resolved and all is well on that front for now. My original diary started 4 years ago so I still think my 5 year rather is reachable. It may be 5 years and so many months though but as long as there's a 5 in it I'm happy.Mortgage free:beer:

That's brilliant GolfieMatt :j
Co-incidental that you should pop up now as I was reading quite an old chain this week where you'd posted and I was wondering if you were still around so great to see that you are and are still making great progress
Regards

Mortgage currently stands at £66480.63 .
I'm now nearing the original 5 year target to pay off the mortgage . Taking the flat out of the equation the mortgage on the house is £6480.63, it looks like I'm going to miss my target of being mortgage free at 35 .so my new target is to gethent it paid April 15 at the latest. Age 36. It's been a tough year and it makes can'tme realise we aren't here for very long.i can't wait to get rid of the mortgage and start blowing money on things we enjoy!Mortgage free:beer:

Good for you golfie, from the sounds of it you will be blowing your money pretty soon! Having your mortgage below £7k sounds absolutely fab so well done.0 -
