no unfortunately this is where it doesnt pay to get married. They take both our wage into account! and 24k a yr between 3 of us before tax isnt a fortune :/

oh thats a pain, i'm on more than that with a partner (not married though)

Being married or not doesn't make any difference to TCs. You are assessed as a couple if you're living together, married or otherwise. But how much you get depends on other things - you get more if you're both working 16 hours a week and paying for childcare, for example. I wouldn't have thought £24k would normally reduce CTC to 0. But if they've overpaid you in the past, that might explain why they won't give you any more until the account's square. Hope you manage to sort things out somehow.

your right lois, we still owe £300 , weve always declared our wage to the the £, it was their botch up.And yeah if people declare their partner is living there thats also correct lol (maybe im a bit naive).

my mechanic advised me not to bother with bio fuel so ive put that on the backburner for now.

The good news is my balance as of 2april 2011 is ........

    £29493.08

:jyahoo the 30k barrier has been destroyed :j

Only just catching up with this, well done on the milestone.

On the bio diesel, the issue is that there is plenty of different products out there. It can cause severe issues in cold winter depending on the specific FAME used. Running in hundred percent form as indicated it can cause big issues with seals and pumps and would invalidate any warranties. As it's used currently in bio diesel mixes, the quantity is reduced in winter and careful choices made on FAME used, but, it can still cause issues. so I would avoid full blown use.

as of today my balance is £27587.28 so 12/6/11 my bal will be around £27615.21 ( added 27.93) for mfit challenge so im well ahead of my 30k target.
looks as though i wont be able to keep up the £500 op's as i need to pay my cc and we have treated ourselves to new phones, car service and mot due, small holiday to pay for that we had last week also. But seeing as we are ahead of target i can afford to live a little for now!!

Well done on the flat, your mortgage is so tiny now, if it's a good price it makes sense.

We are now only £3.5K away from having enough equity to remortgage and buy another, not sure whether we are going to or not, but it's nice to have the option:D

Probably not though as our outstanding mortgage over the two properties is still around £250k which isn't for the fainthearted:rotfl:
