What would you do in my situation

I recently sold a never been used black and white handbag that has been in the bottom of my wifes wardrobe for ages. The bag only went for £3.50 plus £1 postage.

The item was described as ''You are biding on a never use black and white patterned handbag'' with a couple of pictures of it.

Now the woman paid for it straight away and I posted it the same day it sold.

Now I have negative feedback and she's asking for her money back because and I quote ''The white is the wrong shad of white, it doesn't match the blouse I was going to use it with''.

I really want to send her a message back telling her to shove it and i'm not refunding for it being the wrong colour.

What would you do in my situation.

I've noticed that there seems to be more problems both seller sand buyer with womens clothes accessories. You just have to look here and the ebay boards.

As ypo are a private seller and i assume you have not stated returns. Ypo can refuse a refund on those grounds she is not stating a problem with it just that she has changed her mind.

She has already left the neg. If she opens a paypal dispute you have her email stating change of mind as evidence

WHAT!!! lol what a nutter! I'd get onto ebay about having the feedback removed, that is not a valid reason to want to return/expect a refund/leave negative feedback! I'd tell her that you're not going to refund as the listing was clear, the pictures were good & its not a fault that the bag that it doesn't match her blouse, theres nothing actually wrong with the bag. Just when you think you've heard it all on ebay................. lol

Thats the craziest thing i've heard all week!

What other shade of White could there possibly be!? White is white is it not, unless it is off White which is cream.

You should point out to her that you advertised it White, she bought it.. if she wanted to query the colour in the pictures she should have emailed you before wasting your time.

Also mention to her that it is common good manners to email a seller about an issue before leaving any bad feedback! (Unless of course i'm reading wrong and you already refused the refund)

Thanks for the advice. I have sent ebay a message regarding the feedback and I have emailed her back telling her that it's not my problem that it doesn't match her blouse and could I ask why she didn't take the blouse back to match the bag :D:D

I hadn't refused a refund but as she has left negative feedback already I have now refused it.

  • The fact she has left feedback suggests she will not put in a SNAD dispute. I had (my one and only) neg along similar lines. They left a neg and that was it. Potential buyers will see this for what it is and realise you got a bonkers buyer. Just to also add it even worked to my benefit when dealing with another potential troublesome buyer. Chap pestering for me to leave feedback as soon as he had paid. I pointed him in the direction of my neg and told him I wold leave feedback once I knew he was happy with the item I had sent him as there were some strange people ot there. He left glowing positive first!
  • this really is terrble - perhaps ebay should start to vet its users and perform a basic test of intelligence! I don't know, some people eh
