Hi Chris, just read your post from start to finish. I am just going through the process of setting up a DMP and not too sure what to expect so your honest and candid outline of events has given me some insight into the highs and lows of what I can expect in the coming weeks, so, thank you:T

Good Luck with your journey, you are doing tremendously well!!!

Did you find any treasures in the sheds?
Sorry I haven't been around so much but I lost momentum for a bit. Swapping over to joint finances with OH is taking some getting used to and I've kind of lost track of what's happening. However, I have a new diary here and am determined to try and get on top of things!
I will try and catch up here more often again!

Hi Jellie & ellsie leven, apologies for not posting for a while but have been busy trying to hold things together. Money is desperately short and will only get by this month by borrowing ...which will be repaid in Oct as have some overtime funds due then.

Will provide more detailed update asap.

Thanks for your continuing support :)

Pay day just around the corner. Another "tight" (read skint) month but should just "get under the wire" so to speak.

Next month might be slightly easier as have a modest amount of o/time due.

Provisional budget indicates all bases covered but that's about it.

Well, got paid on 15th and provisional budget looks ok but will have to be vvvvvvv careful :). Have made a modest £21.00 from some Ebay bits and have one or two more auctions to do so that may help as well.

Next month and November will be vital as have overtime due (about £300) and will find out exactly how much mortgage changes to as fixed rate deal ends. Given that fixed rate is more than SVR (standard variable rate), hope to benefit by £150.00+ each month :).

    Bye for now DFW'ers.

Well, made it through October with some Ebay sales and prudent "trimming" here and there.

This month's budget (16th Oct to 15th Nov) looks ok as overtime will clear some phone / broadband (Virgin Media) a/c arrears and feed back as lower bills from November . This will provide a tiny chink of light until mortgage goes down in January....

It's amazing how a small step forward helps lift one's spirits....

Only "challenges" in November are car tax and MOT...:(

On the CCCS front, Nationwide not happy with £5.00/month. CCCS have said "Dont worry, you can only afford £5.00". Me thinks it's Nationwide just trying to flex their muscles, which is a pity as they claim to be a mutual organisation but have started to really get greedy...those amusing TV adverts don't come cheap you know!

Well, it's now getting towards end of November and finances are basically falling apart.

Have decided to take partner's car off road as can only afford one car. My car passed MOT but cost £100 for test & minor repair. Partner's JSA has now stopped and next month my salary wont over the bills. Mortgage goes down in January....need lower mortgage now!

Partner has job interview Monday and I'm praying she gets it otherwise we're stuffed
