After some reading, have arranged to transfer my Cash ISA which is only earning 0.5% to another provider so that it will earn 2.5%. Not much in the account, about £20.00, but it's a step in the right direction...:)

Made first payment on my DMP today....first of many hopefully. Only potential "fly in ointment" is OH's job may be in jeopardy come end of May :(.

Balanced finances tonight, should have enough to last until payday...phew! Next month is going to be tight though...when will I get some "breathing space"?

    Hi Jellie

OH lost her job towards end of May so she is looking for another job

Paying bills is really getting hard, probably going to have to "miss" one or two i.e. robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I am going to ramsack the shed and sell everything that is no longer needed.

Also looking to get 2nd job

Sorry the news is so depressing....

Sorry to hear that. I hope she finds something suitable quickly. Good luck with getting the bills paid in the meantime.

    Hi Chris

I have just read your diary from start to finish. I am sorry that life is so sucky for you at the moment.

What profession is your OH in that has such litttle job security? Is it worth her changing careers or just doing anything to bring in money?

Also if your DMP was predicated on both of you working then you can call CCCS to say you have a change in circumstances, and they will renegotiate for you.

    good luck

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Well. I'm off work for a week but have planned to do lots of jobs i.e.

    • Sort out garden
    • Fix a couple of pcs
    • Totally clear out both sheds
    • Sell unwanted stuff on ebay
    • Sort out and file all letters
    • Sort out finances
Will post progress report asap :)
